- 10 years of database programming and/or on-line transaction processing.
- Highly technical knowledge of operating systems, compiler and interpreter methods, software engineering techniques, software interface, and computer languages with a broad base understanding of issues on both a systems and application level
- Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products and familiarity with client's products.
- Minimum 6 years professional IT experience;
- Familiarity with redundancy, high-availability, and scalability approaches and technology;
- Windows installation & administration on enterprise servers;
- Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP; and

4) We are in need of 3 engineers and an architect for a Newton client:
A wonderful small, stable company west of Boston who has been around for
many year needs engineers and an architect with all levels of Python who are savvy with Internet aps development and, perhaps more important, experts in the
manipulation of multiple kinds of large data. CherryPy is a plus as is
experience in Object-oriented development.
We have recently placed a manager with this client, and now things are
hopping, so they need to fill these new positions with some urgency.
5) Developer. Similar to a Waltham MA position we showed your recently except
this one now requires more experience and some different technologies:
§ 6+ years commercial experience developing highly scalable, data-driven, Web-based applications using C# and MS SQL Server 2000/2005. Knowledge of database design principles, performance tuning and security best practices are a must. (ColdFusion or PHP expertise preferred.)
§ Strong understanding of algorithmic complexity, advanced data structures, computer networking and operating systems
§ Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following technical areas: XML/XSLT, AJAX/Javascript, HTML/CSS, Web Services/SOAP/REST, RSS/ATOM, Google API's, SalesForce.com AppExchange, Ebay Shopping APIs, or Yahoo Merchant API's.
6) A seasoned programmer/software/www developer with proven programming talents, preferably in multiple programming languages to do recruiting; telecommute job. Further, a successful candidate must enjoy interacting verbally with technical people and have an extreme passion for technology. You basically would become our contact at this client. $75-100K DOE. Looking for experience and capability of doing complex data analysis and applying that resulting critical business thinking to a presentation to customers. Telecom domain knowledge and enterprise business a plus but not critical..
Requires a strong working knowledge of telecom contracts, pricing, and
tariffs, along with an extensive understanding of invoice processing and payments. Systems thinking skills are essential. Problem solving experience is a must; software engineering or computer science experience is a plus. A track record in system analysis of business information systems is a must, preferably with telecom billing or operational support systems. Requires advanced knowledge of Excel, Access, and other MS-Office tools. Must be able to analyze and interpret data effectively. Candidate should be highly
organized, very focused and detail oriented, able to multitask, and able to manage time effectively while working in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

CONTRACT
A1) Data Migration project in downtown Boston. Needs PL/SQL - 3-4 years experience; ability to understand and work with parameter based stored procedures.
B2) Also Please let me know if this Data Reporting Analyst/Cognos Developer contract is something of interest or you might be able to refer someone.
The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of work experience with Cognos, specifically Cognos PowerPlay and Cognos ReportNet. A thorough knowledge of Data Warehouse principals and techniques and Business Intelligence experience within a multi-terabyte Data Warehouse environment. Ability to work with Cognos in both the UNIX and Windows environment. Strong communications skills and demonstrate ability to work independent and as part of a team. .
