Adding on, here is one more opening - for folks with managerial experience in the defense or homeland security engineering arena. I'll provide all details if you are interested (or can pass this along to), but in essence you will manager people who have multiple technical disciplines; you will focus on defining customer needs and required functionality early in the development cycle, documenting requirements, then proceeding with design synthesis and system validation while considering the complete problem. You should have most of this shopping list: a Bachelor's degree + 10 years experience, Masters degree + 7 years experience, a degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical or other engineering discipline, in coordinating technical resources of varying disciplines to successfully complete development tasks, experience with analytical systems development and/or with government qualification processes a strong plus.

We also need another mechanical engineer or draftsperson for a permanent position. This is similar to the contractor position we filled a few months back. Responsibilities will include incorporating redlines into existing drawings and creating new drawings for existing prototype design. The mechanical designer will work very closely with mechanical engineers.

Ideal skill set: Solidworks 2011, Autodesk Inventor (desired), the ability to work independently and the ability to work directly with production Solidworks, new drawings from existing models, small company 30 people.

We would like to talk with a senior scientist with higher degrees/background in chemistry or physics, preferably the latter, along with at least eight years' experience in research and development in the areas of atmospheric pressure ionization, ion mobility, and particle collection. You will also need show an ability to program manage key initiatives or projects from technology roadmap, independently leap across functional team groups to accomplish goals, provide technical leadership for new trace detection methodologies leading to marketable products, design/develop/optimize existing and new technologies, participate in program efforts of key technology developments, design/develop/optimize custom analysis and control equipment and software to test and validate new technologies, be responsible for contributing to the patent portfolio of the company, be responsible for process development, process evaluation and process transfer from R&D to production, and provide guidance to junior members of technical staff and instill technical insight to all levels of the company.

We are also on the hunt for a Senior Software Developer with a broad range of knowledge and experience with 5-10 years of experience developing embedded software for instrumentation or other commercial products, ideally in both embedded Linux and Windows environments. You will be responsible for the requirements, design, development, documentation, and testing of software for new innovative software products and existing software applications.

You will also analyze software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints, and will consult with hardware engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, as well as operational and performance requirements of the overall system. You will also be involved in performing periodic code reviews and mentoring other software engineers on good software development practices.

Our client is headquartered in Cambridge, MA (USA), and is the market leader in the provision of consumer-level, anti-counterfeiting technology services to the pharmaceutical market using text messaging. The annual global trade in counterfeit drugs is estimated to be $200B. Counterfeits exist in every pharmaceutical market and are responsible for thousands of deaths each year. Over 30% of medicines available in emerging markets are estimated to be counterfeit. The global pharmaceutical anti-counterfeiting, brand protection, and security packaging market reached $6.7B in 2009 and the total anti-counterfeiting technology market is expected to grow to $82B by 2015.

Our client is already delivering consumer-facing brand protection services to numerous pharma firms in the US. They are now looking for a Country Sales Director with direct responsibilities for sales in India pharmaceutical sales who will report directly to the parent company’s CEO. You will sell directly to large accounts as well as manage a team of sales representatives in India.

Job Summary

You will be responsible for selling the firm’s solution directly to India’s pharmaceutical companies. You will develop and maintain relationships with the target customers to drive the company's sales to them on a global basis. You will have complete responsibility for your customer relationships and will be held accountable for total account sales, margins and overall relationship status. Reviewing market analyses, you will determine customer needs, sales volume potential, and pricing schedules that will meet the company’s goals. Then you will implement a sales program of your own design leveraging both existing company relationships and new ones you will develop. In addition to selling directly to large accounts, you will lead a team of sales representatives located in multiple regions in India.

You will need to display great initiative and independence, together with strong organizational, relationship building and interpersonal skills. This includes identifying, contacting, and meeting key decision makers and educating them on the strategic value added by adopting the firm's services. You will also have input into their overall sales strategy and execution both with customers and strategic partners and will contribute significantly to determining how the company’s services are marketed in India.

Responsibilities

Your primary responsibility will be the sale of the company’s products and services to the key customers in India. You are also expected to help fulfill the marketing needs of the company short-term. You will own the customer relationships in India and as such will be the first point of contact for sales leads for large accounts, as well as any service concerns, with support from the Service Delivery staff in India & USA. You will consult with the company’s other executives to coordinate marketing, service delivery, and budgeting, and will represent the company at events and trade meetings to market its offerings in India. In addition, you will analyze market and sales information to determine industry and sales trends and potential in India.

Qualifications

An individual with the highest levels of energy, determination and sales ability is a must, combined with excellent communication, presentation and team management skills. You must have impeccable account management and relationship building skills with a proven track record of sales and a desire to work for a start-up, market-leading company that can offer significant career growth. You will have successfully sold solutions to industry and will have these qualifications:

High motivation and intelligence with expert interpersonal and oral/written communication skills
Ability to operate independently and flexibly in a start-up environment which is both demanding and multicultural
At least 10 years of successful consultative sales experience involving promoting and selling systems or concepts that increase client sales and brand value.
Experience working with the pharmaceutical packaging industry is strongly preferred, but not required
Experience managing and closing intricate sales with multiple decision-makers
Skills in negotiating pricing of complex offerings
Comfort creating sales and marketing materials and presenting in public
Experience and comfort using CRM systems
Availability for domestic travel (up to 60%). Person should be based in Mumbai or Bangalore
Business math and basic financial understanding
Exposure and basic understanding of mobile and computing technologies
Fluency in English and at least one major Indian language; knowledge of additional languages and ability to speak other major South Asian languages is a significant benefit
A bachelor's degree; an advanced degree is a plus
Ability to work in Mumbai or Bangalore without work visa assistance
Some marketing experience
