Hello folks,
If you never thought the recession would end or that cool jobs would never come back, this is your wake up call. As we have discussed in the past, what happens is: employers get wrapped up in a media-driven mentality which dictates that they keep their workforces at the lowest possible levels, bringing contractors in to fill the slack and wait for some sign that the economy is really, really, really back on track; when there is no other option, the hiring floodgates open, which in this case results from reports, month after month, of gains in employment and/or lower unemployment claims. When this happens everyone wants to be first to hire.
The problem for us is that prospective employees tend to be nervous about changing jobs despite the long hours and meager pay raises. So you have to decide whether you would like to consider switching to a firm that has been profitable during the recession, and has a lot going for it, as we believe is the case with the firms we represent.
Here are the job titles (all fulltime, perm): ask me for details and we can discuss further. Updated resumes are always appreciated.
